Youngsun is a PhD student in Education Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her current research centers on racial/ethnic disproportionalities in school discipline and their associations with truancy, absenteeism, and disengagement. She mainly applies descriptive and causal inference models in Stata, along with a systematic literature review. Before joining the Ph.D. program, she worked at the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET), where she coordinated two national-level projects in secondary career education.
